The Kiteboard Open 2009 was a great event with great conditions and 15.000 spectators. During the first day of the event there was side off shore wind, so the organization decided to run a Xpression Session, all the riders could go on the water to impress the spectators and judges. FLYBOARDS teamrider Steve Verelst scored a deserved 2nd place in this Xpression Session!

The last day of the KBO 2009 started with a lot of sun and no wind at all, but around 17:00 the wind was full on and the Pro Contest could start, all the riders went big. High passes, technical moves, old school action, a great show seeing all riders pushing it to their maximum.

In the final FLYBOARDS teamrider Stefan Permien had to finally give the win to Bas Koole giving him a great 2nd place. Steve Verelst won the loosers final which put him in 3rd postion in the Pro Contest.
