Thursday 14 June, 6AM, I won’t go to work today, I’m going to compeat at the BKSA round1 in ESSEX !!

Six hours later I’m in UK with my SKD’s bro «Abe Alzouman» and my Girlfriend «Anne BSD», ready to ride hard!

We arrived on the spot in the evening, I could see some cool kikers in this awesome land kiting spot!

Friday morning, I woke up with nice sunshine and strong wind. I did a little training sesh, chill with dudes, and meet Lewis Wilby which is one of my
favorite rider, was really cool to speak with him and share some nice session!

Saturday the wind was too strong, about 20 to 35 knots, very gusty, so the BKSA organisation and the race Director «Richard Gowers» decided to do the competition on sunday…

I tryed to do some trix in this very strong gusty wind but it was really too dangerous, I could feel sad bails coming so I decided to stop and wait tomorow for the comp.

Sunday morning, woke up at 7AM, first possible start at 8AM! The wind was much better than saturday, about 15 to 25 Knots, so I decided to ride with my 12 m² speed3. I did my first heat with «Abe» and «Ash Garwood» (very good local rider), I landed some nice trix during this heat, and I had some good hangtime which was very cool to do boards off and spins. 20 Knots Gust during the heat, so I could do some unhooked trix like reverse railey and some front to blind pass… I won this Heat so I qualified myself directly to the Final.

I did the Final Heat with German Flysurfer Team Rider «Emmanuel Norman» and the local rider «Ash Garwood». That was an EPIC heat, with very good wind about 15 to 20 knots, so I took my 15 m² to have good power and go fast between my trix… During the heat I could see some EPIC handle pass by Emmanuel and Ash, it was time for me to do some huge trix, let’s go to the kikers to rock it with nice 720 board off, then some flat trix like 720 to blind pass… 7 minutes for a heat, 7 minutes of hard riding!!

Result : 1st Emmanuel Norman, 2nd Laurent Guyot and 3rd Ash Garwood.

I’m very happy of this 2nd place, and I will continu to train hard on my home spot for the next round of the BKSA at Redcar and Wesward Ho.
