Czech KLB Championship 201216.Oct.2012:
Good results for Flysurfer kites at the Czech kite landboarding championship, thanks to Lukas and our other friends in the Czech Republic.
Another Czech landkiting – mountainboard (race, freestyle) & buggy (race) championship took place at Milovice from October 27th to 30th. Again, like every year, the whole Czech landkiting elite came together. Unfortunately the wind conditions didn’t really work in the competitors’ favor, so they were only able to compete during the first two days only. On the first day, October 27th, just the mountainboards could compete in the race discipline with wind speeds between 3-8 m/sec.
After three rounds racing Lukáš Vogeltanz won with a Flysurfer Speed3 15m² kite (2, 1, 1). Marek Vlach finished in second place (1, 2, 3) and Tomáš Vícha in third with Flysurfer Speed3 21m (3, 4, 2). At the end of the day the last wind was used for freestyle with a take-off on concrete where the power and hangtime of the Flysurfer Speed3 21m was pretty noticeable. Lukáš showed off a couple of boardoffs, rotations and inverts, even in the weak wind.
On the second day, October 28th, the wind started blowing early in the morning which indicated a time for buggies. The wind was gone as fast as it came. The buggies could race for two rounds only, where Martin Lafek won, Petr Petráš being second and Radek Čuba finished third. However, the contests are over and we know our new Czech champions. We would like to thank the supporters of Czech kiting: kiteboarding.cz, harakiri kite-kurzy.cz, Flysurfer, Peter Lynn, Boneshaker, Ozone, Mystic, and Czech Kite Force.
